DayBreak Blog 1
Hello Everyone,
For my first blog entry I'd like to clarify some things about life coaching.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about what Life Coaching is all about, and I’d like to take a moment and explain to you what it is — and what it is not. There are important differences between coaching and therapy.
Life Coaches work with people who are motivated enough to want to solve a problem, change a behavior, or create a better sense of purpose and well being in their lives.
Life Coaches do not diagnose or engage clients with known mental health conditions or behavioral disorders, nor do we provide psychotherapy or counseling for these conditions.
Many refer to Life Coaching as “talking therapy,” but in my practice I prefer to define it as “listening therapy.” You have the power to change your life in positive and productive ways. My job is to guide you in the direction of your goals with clarity and confidence.
And, although absolutely everyone can benefit in some way from experiencing interaction with a Life Coach, this process of self-discovery is not for everyone. As you read through this website to learn more about the DAYBREAK philosophy, decide for yourself what might work best for you!
